The Retro Pathway

1. FARS Grades
Our FARS grade sessions are on Tuesdays 4.30pm-5.30pm for Grades 1-5 and cost £5.00 per lesson, this is when to come if you are a beginner
2. Club Sessions
After completing at least grade 5 above, you will be invited to club sessions to take skating skills to the next level – a competitive level nationally & internationally. We train several times a week, with each group training 1-4 times per week. Club Membership applies
3. Training Days/Weeks
As RetroSkate is one of the largest club's in the UK, we are able to hold our own training days/weeks during the year. Top National and International coaches come and share their knowledge, expertise and techniques. Advance payment is required to cover the costs of the visiting coaches as well as training fees. Your coach will let you know if this affect you
4. National Training and British Squad Training
These are organised by the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating at various locations in the UK, 2-3times throughout the year. If any apply to you, your coach will let you know. 

Standard Training Times

Please note a pre-payment policy is in place for all groups below. All standard training fees are invoiced per calendar month. These must be paid in advance or skaters will not be allowed to train. FARS Basic skills grades are £5 per hour (includes skate hire), for groups above this, we charge £2per 30mins

4pm - 8pm Advanced & Top Groups, times as per coaches instructions

Tuesday
4.30pm-5.30pm FARS Basic Skills grades 1-5

Wednesday
4pm - 7.30pm Juniors, Intermediate & Advanced Groups, times as per coaches instructions

Thursday

4pm - 8pm Basic Skills, Advanced & Top Groups, times as per coaches instructions 

Friday
4pm - 6.30pm Novice & Intermediate Groups, times as per coaches instructions

Saturday
4pm - 6.30pm Top Group

Sunday
9.30am - 11am Juniors

Selection for the above groups must be given by one of the coaching team. Skaters in all sessions must be at least at grade 6 level and have artistic skates. Additional training may be required leading up to competitions & championships. Changes to these times may apply during holidays and heavy competition schedules

Club Uniform

Skaters taking part in competitions must adhere to the rules set out by FARS & the committee, wearing club uniform for figures & presentations and hair tied back off face at all times

2018 saw the introduction of new uniform! Items are available to buy/order through the club. Below are the compulsory items that must be purcahsed (prices are ex VAT):-

Crew neck or Polo Shirt £15

Jacket £30

Track Pants £15

Females Club dress £35

Males Club Leotard £30

Male Skating Trousers £20

Tights £8-£12 depending on style

Other Items available are hoodie, vest, shorts, leggings and raincoat POA
